  1. Thank Goodness we will have an honest city clerk and an honest city treasurer!

  2. Omigod, MaryAnn, you have my heartfelt sympathies. How do you stand it?

  3. Though I know the Tattler is likely not to endorse anyone yet or at all, I have to say Mary Anne, John C. and Chris Koerber have my vote and I believe they are indeed the only three on this list of candidates capable and qualified enough to deal with the mess that Buchanan and other Doyle cronies have created within our city limits. They will have a hard job of it surely, but I expect these three will be the only ones in the list of candidates who would approach their representative duties with honesty, integrity and respect for the community which they are pledging themselves to serve. No more blind obeisance to utility company or development industry avaricious profit schemes if these three take the vacant seats on our council. Good luck to them as they campaign towards a better, hopefully more enlightened future for Sierra Madre.

    I concur!

  5. I am undecided in the 4-year race. MaryAnn is a no brainer, but Big and Little John are solid.

  6. Mod, you should be endorsing. Why would you not?

  7. I'm endorsing everyone. My heart is filled with love for all of our candidates.

  8. I am waiting to see what candidates the printed press outlets will endorse so I know who not to vote for. They continually support the Mosca's, Buchanan's and "establishment" candidates who have been such a leadership disaster for our town.
John, by not endorsing any candidates at this point, shows on honesty that the printed media has not demonstrated the ability to do.

  9. Thanks Crawford, now I know who I am not voting for.

  10. Does 7:00 AM mean s/he is not voting for any of the candidates?

  11. Must be an anarchist. They always say that you should vote for nobody.

  12. 6:22 am, your last sentence is confusing. I think many of us would like to know who John supports so that we can better make up our minds. I am not sure how honesty plays into any of this.

  13. 9:04 a.m. - Honesty is the best policy, or have you never heard this? It is the ONE characteristic that a city council candidate must possess to gain my vote, since we have endured 8 to 12 years of dishonest council members, with the exception of the two years when Watts and Zimmerman shared city council leadership with MacGillivray. Some residents are desperate for a drink of fresh water after the Buchanan years...
