The Very Public Burning Of Johnny GemCoins Continues

Fox 11 News link here.
The dangerous predicament Arcadia City Councilman and former Mayor John Wuo finds himself in is becoming more untenable by the day. The FBI has launched an investigation, angry GemCoin investors are demanding his head on a pole, and Wuo's explanations and excuses for being so closely associated with Steve Chen (AKA the "Human Amber Mine") and some of his more notorious business affairs are now becoming the stuff of jokes. Wuo is no longer believable, and many people are demanding that he be gone, and soon.

Personally, I do not see how long he can politically survive this. John Wuo has become an acute embarrassment to many of those who used to support him. His continued presence in Arcadia public life is now being seen as a threat by certain key players, people who are not exactly thrilled with the kinds of attention he is bringing to both the town and their business affairs.

Rumors that certain individuals within the Asian development and business community knew of Wuo's involvement in the USFIA GemCoin ponzi scheme, and then used that knowledge to blackmail him into making certain key City Council votes (particularly on mansionization issues), were making the rounds yesterday.

There is now a palpable panic in the air, and many want these troubles to end as quickly as possible. This sordid affair has become extremely dangerous, and not only for John Wuo.

A new Fox 11 News video has been made available this morning. In it John Wuo, standing in the door of his home, attempts to deny any knowledge of GemCoins. The report then goes on to show just how flimsy a defense this actually is for him. Click here for that report.

Yesterday the blog Behind MLM shared the following news. They were among the first to break the GemCoin story to the world, and Oz et al deserve our gratitude. That the blog did this amazing work all the way from Australia and other points on the far side of the planet is pretty amazing. Here is the link.

The USFIA press conference has since been moved to next Tuesday. Many doubt it will ever happen as it is quite possible the GemCoin crowd is packing its bags and will be heading for points unknown, and soon. This would not be the first time a few of them have fled in the face of hostile government investigations.

MLM investigator Kasey Chang has provided us with the following translation of the latest report from the Chinese language newspaper Epoch Times. Apparently unhappy GemCoin investors who complained about being ripped off by the USFIA GemCoiners have been threatened with violence, and even death.

More news as it shows up.

  1. The USFIA GemCoin ponzi scheme was simply a new method of repatriating money that had slipped out of Communist China and now being brought back to the 'mother country' or illegal money that left communist china was now laundered clean money coming back?

  3. Where is the Pasadena Star News on this story? Was City Manager Domenic Lazzaretto successful in his bid to silence the local daily?

  4. all I can tell the people of Encinitas is that Joe Mosca flat out lied straight to my face - he'll say whatever you want to hear.

didn't he borrow a dog as a prop for his campaign pics in SM?

    2. "Rent a Dog" Joe Mosca. Yep, he took a family picture with a Golden Retriever in it for a campaign brochure - not his dog.

      What a guy.

    3. yep Joe was a fraud from day one until he left

he claims to be able to accomplish things, what exactly did he accomplish while on the Council?

      nothing

    2. The FBI is going to recall John Wuo and Steve Chen all the way to Leavenworth or San Quintin for about 5-10 years. That's where these crooks belong.

    3. I'm think Councilman Wuo won't be running (for office) next time. He may be running, though.

  7. The potential ripple effects of this mess could be dramatic for Arcadia home values. I keep reading where the Chinese economic problems could send more money to USA real estate but I can't believe any of that will go into Arcadia any time soon.

  8. Wuo and Chen are crooks with ties to the Communist government in China and other corrupt officials. There is so much tainted money coming out of China that you can't keep track of it. You get ahead in China by being corrupt and connected to the party which is the same thing. All the corrupt money along with the mindset of what you need to do to get ahead has come into the San Gabriel Valley. Two people were just arrested in Pasadena for arranging fraudulent weddings to facilitate people in getting their citizenship. Is all over the place. That's why we have to tighten up our immigration policy until we get a handle on all of this.

  9. Mr. Wou insists he has no involvement in this criminal Gem Coin scheme. No matter how much he denies, by all appearances his complicity is most apparent. He should resign his position on Arcadia's City Council. Americans and Arcadia would possibly think a bit better of him.

    2. Nobody is going to think any better of Wuo no matter what he does. His corruption is only exceeded by his stupidity.

  10. Why, you might ask, can't they do this today? Actually the answer is quite
simple. Hoover , Truman, and Eisenhower were men of honor, not
    untrustworthy politicians looking for votes!

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes - 12 to 20 million illegal aliens are depending on it..

    1. They could leave the seat vacant for the next election April 2016 when his seat is up, or appoint a person to fill his seat till the election. Hard to say what they would do.

    1. Anyone who supports Joe has just been cultivated to see the public persona he presents - open, sincere, devoted. What they don't know is the other face, the hyper-critical, negative, moody guy who makes fun of them behind their backs.

  17. There are also some non-Chinese people running this Gemcoin scam. The names I have seen are: Leonard S. Johnson, Kim Holland, Tanya Honey. Does anyone know who these people are.
