Mod: I received the following Notice Of Election from Nancy Shollenberger yesterday afternoon. Nancy, as you might have already known, is not running for reelection. In addition to next April's election that is announced here as well.

    1. Most likely not know until after the first of the year.

    2. Wouldn't it be funny if neither of the incumbents (Capoccia and Harabedian) decides to run for re-election? That would be an interesting followup to 2014 when none of the three incumbents (Koerber, Moran, Walsh) ran again.

    3. What if they were the only two to run? Not as funny.

    4. If that is the case it will be all about the UUT measures.

    5. Are the rumors that John Buchanan might run true? Who would he be looking to take out? Capoccia or Harabedian?

    6. Grumble, grumble ... Buchanan! [Shakes fist] BUCHANANNNN!!!! grumble, grumble....

    7. 10:33 I'd rather Capoccia or Harbedian over Buchanan. He did nothing but shill for So Cal Edison his employer his last two terms - accomplished nothing while lying to us about the water bonds, UUT, opposing Measure V, trying to give away a city parking lot to a developer, trying to build an unneeded new library and lecture us incessantly

maybe Noah Crybaby Greene will run again for some comic relief

  2. When will this insanity stop. We go through this every four years. Enough is enough this is Gods' land.

    1. It is every two years. And it is just a city election. Not the end times or anything.

    2. No He's not. He just has a dry sense of humor.

  3. Well it should be every eight years just like the presidential elections we would save lots of money and be less of a carbon footprint on Gods' land.

    1. Presidential elections are every 4 years, luminous one.

    2. It only seems like 8 years since we last elected a President.

    3. It's been 3 years, then 7 years....if you vote, please stop.

    4. Seems like just yesterday. Or the day before.

    5. Or at least the Electoral College votes for us, except when the Supreme Court votes for them.

  5. Gee, as critical as many of the Tattlers have been about our current council, I thought at least a couple of you would be chomping at the bit to have a go at it. Or at least find someone who would agree absolutely and completely the way you do, then have them promise that they won't change their mind once they are elected. Of course, once that person finds out all the facts, they might disappoint you after all and you would then have more fodder for the Tattler.

    1. So you have to be elected before you get the facts? They're like a secret or something?

    2. It is the inner sanctum, 9:03. Only the elect may witness such wonders.

    3. When you get there you are let in on the big secret. Sierra Madre is run by Jambi, the talking head genii from the Peewee Herman Show.

  6. I am going to run..... Far away, as fast as I can so I don't have to watch this city implode.

  8. Good timing for the election; just three days before April 15, tax day.

  9. Your right, it seems like the last Presidential election was 20 years ago, and what do we have to show for it? Just a bunch of crappy decissions. This country is being funded by the taxpayer. The taxpayer has failed to receive which he paid for!

    3. Could just be incorrect spelling or typos, 9:59. The overall structure is grammatical, even if you don't like sentences that end in prepositions and prefer them within.

  11. Great post. I continue to pay ciy hall for all those UUT taxes and water rate increases. All I get in return is No infrastructure repairs and yellow water which looks like urin. And know city hall wants $40 Million to fix the ciy main watr pipes which they contributed to all those holes!

    1. Yes. Nancy has been the heart and soul of City Hall for years. I don't know if she will ever really be replaced.

  13. It goes to show you that ciy hall has been incompetent. Their main goal is to protect all of those pensions and continue to request for raises. Let's contract all city e.ployees and staff work out and get rid of those dammm pensions.

  14. Incompetency only leads to more billable work hours to be paid by the taxpayer.

  16. Supporting a backroom deal maker will only bring heartache you need two out spoken individuals who represent the collective thought of the community and will bring justice and honesty back to city council chambers.
