It's Vacation Time For The Tattler

As the world descends into chaos, I figured it was as good a time as any to put The Tattler on vacation. Once a year is enough, and that time is now. Should be back up and running around August 7. Try and stay cool and I will see you then.

  5. The Mod deserves a good rest, he's battling the local dysfunction you see in small towns that get taken over by big money and big unions. The best weapon has been transparency and shining that blasted searchlight into dark corners. It's a dirty job and if you get into it you end up covered in mud. But all done in a very entertaining way, and with a few notches under his belt!

Have no fears, Tattlers! John has yet to disconnect from us even when he's on vacation! But we do wish him and his a week of relaxation and enjoyment.

  7. Mr. Tattler, the very best of vacations to you and family, enjoy as much as we enjoy your efforts in Preserving our community. Sierra Madre would not be the same without you. We know many at City Hall would disagree but that's what makes your efforts so important. Thank you and a great vacation to you and yours.

  15. Nice work, Sheriffs. Thank you.
I stopped by the pharmacy and everybody is fine there.
If you're going there, or walking by, give pharmacist Paul and his crew an extra thanks this week, for serving the community.

  17. Amazing what happens when you have a real PD (LA Sheriffs) with all the support units needed. Taking a bite out of crime!

  18. Amazing what happens when a real citizen observes it and calls police too. Great job reporting person! Be observant and pay attention as to what's going on in your neighborhood....it pays off.

Looks like there will be an opening for a new city manager there. Wonder who in Sierra Madre city hall will put in for the job....

  21. Big Surprise, yet another San Gabriel Valley Massage Parlor CLOSED by city govt. The latest is Arcadia Spa at 28 E. Duarte Rd. At last nights Arcadia City Council meeting, the owner was denied his business license revocation appeal and two of his masseuses lost their licenses. The two masseuses will also get to visit local court houses since they both were arrested for prostitution during recent under cover bust. The meeting was a complete joke, as the owner responded to the CC questions, making up lies thru his interpreter as the night went on. Mayor Beck had to control himself to not burst out in laughter at the redicilous allegations that the undercover officers themselves committed sexual assaults. Even ol Sho Tai tracked the discussion and voted to deny the appeal!

It's time Arcadia does something serious about these illegal businesses, everyone is worried about how some want to limit home sizes to maintain property values, how about worry about the dozens of phony massage parlors that are nothing except fronts for prostitution and their effect on property values?

  22. You know your time is up when Sho Tay no longer has your back.
Where are the faults in the original permission process to let these businesses begin? Arcadia has money - don't they have someone investigating the "spas" from the get go?

  25. Does anyone know this Sierra Madre girl, or her family in Sierra Madre? She was found deceased and unresponsive in her car.

She lived off of the main drag, SM blvd.
