Is Bruce Inman Leaving Sierra Madre As Well?

Yesterday evening I received the following email from a sharp eyed Tattler reader.

The answer to that question is no, I have not. We do know that City Manager Elaine Aguilar is retiring from her Sierra Madre government role in November, but as of now there has been no word regarding an Inman departure as well.

Does the above spill the beans about yet another high level retirement from City Hall? You can link to the City Manager's Report by clicking here.

It could also mean that the short-timer City Manager needs to work on her sentence structure. She doesn’t say they are both outgoing; she says they are both getting presentations.

Let me know if you've heard anything.

  1. Havn't heard anything; but wouldn't be suprized. Second in charge, Chris C.;is most confident and I would hope, take Mr Inmans place. That department has cross training.
Interesting that there has been a mass exit. Could be that PERS kicked in at the highest level of earnings and like we witnessed from the Fire Department; retirements for all; or at least four at a time from that Department.

    1. the retirement program is what is wrong with the public sector - it's why I always vote No or against any tax measure regardless because the public business keeps whining about needing more money for this or that and they don't do anything about the biggest debt and most obscene debt - the pension ponzi scheme

it really stinks that our grandchildren will be paying for the retirement of public sector employees who get paid a salary to do nothing - they don't live off their savings or retirement but a paid retirement at taxpayer expense

I'll be happy when Calpers and other public sector pension plans are voted out and collapse

    2. Chris to take his place If and only If he has the education and certification necessary for the position. Bruce was not qualified to run the dept and look what we got. 20 plus years of failures.

    3. Since all the directors serve "at the pleasure of the City Council" (meaning they have the authority to hire and fire) maybe it would behoove you to look at the last 20 years of councils. They all seemed pretty satisfied with Public Works. And, what failures?

  2. Maybe they know something we don't.

    1. That might be the point. It would be nice if City Hall was rebuilt from the bottom. The results we have been receiving these last few years are not acceptable.

    2. You could halve the salaries and people would be lined up around the block to apply for those cushy jobs.

    1. But why would it be a "presentation to"?

  9. If he was leaving as a well we could tap into him. Unfortunately he is pretty dried out at this point.

  10. If he does leave; Chris C. has the knowledge of the department, he has been with the City for years. Extremely qualified.

  11. A step into the future of the re- structuring of City Hall. The City Council will require a great deal of input from the citizens.

    2. If you will recall, the UUT was voted on by the community. And passed, by the community.
