Presidential Debate Discussion Forum

Beware of the scary clown
‘Trump was so bad, he made the dog throw up’: Ohio GOP chair’s wife can’t stomach Sunday’s debate (Raw Story link): While Donald Trump’s core supporters seemed to love last night’s debate performance, it seems that he did little to win over voters who weren’t already with him headed into Sunday’s showdown.

If you want an example of the problems Trump is having with college-educated women, for example, look no further than Kate Borges, the wife of Ohio Republican Party Chairman Matt Borges.

As the Cincinnati Enquirer reports, Borges found herself completely repulsed by Trump’s assertion that his comments about grabbing women’s genitals were just “locker room talk.”

As she watched Trump’s answer in disgust, the family dog just happened to vomit in the house.

Trump was so bad, he made the dog throw up,” she joked as she was cleaning up the mess. Borges says that what initially turned her off to Trump was the time he made fun of a reporter’s physical disability, which was particularly hurtful to her because her own daughter is autistic.

“I don’t think he respects women,” she told the Enquirer. “I don’t think he respects anybody.”

  3. Donald won the debate.
    Lame article.
Photo shows support from Hollywood; the town of smoke and mirrors, nothing real or of substance. Verizon locks you into bad contracts and has bully attitudes.
The Country is turning to the left; History has shown what becomes of that with its Citizens.
House Speaker trying to save up coming Party votes because of how biter and disliked both Presidential candidates are.
Every voter will the hold their nose with both candidates when casting a vote in November.

  4. I was so looking forward to a reprise of the former Mayor's piece about Christopher Columbus on this holiday morning. Even though it is a bit dated and unsophisticated, it still has a certain naivety and charm.

Great updates on The Rump, by the way. Keep up the good work. We're now less than a month away from V-Day, on the downhill sprint - pun intended.

  10. Steve Schmidt was on 'Meet The Press' today and at one point in discussing the overall impact of the latest news on Donald Trump, Schmidt spoke some hard truths about the Trump candidacy and in particular, the effect it has had on the GOP.

  11. The GOP have only themselves to blame over the years; up standing and backing down at the same time. They need to behave more like the Dems; lies are treated as truths and a persons actions don't matter.

Isis exists because of Bush's bidding by his conservative masters. Both trump and Hillary were for it.

  15. Trump lashes out at Ryan

Donald Trump shed any pretense of trying to hold his party together Monday, pouring gasoline on an already scorching confrontation with Republican leaders in Washington as they reckon with their nominee's spiraling campaign.

Trump swung hard at House Speaker Paul Ryan, who announced he was abandoning efforts to help elect Trump earlier in the day. His team highlighted the number of voters who pledged to vote only for Trump and no other Republicans. And Trump's Virginia state director convened a protest outside the headquarters of the Republican National Committee, accusing the party of bailing too quickly on their only chance to stop Hillary Clinton.

“These are all establishment guys who have never supported him, and they’re using this latest thing as a pretext for withdrawing their support,” said Corey Stewart, the Trump Virginia director.
