The Scalise Shooting is not the fault of The Tattler, nor is anyone here happy about it

Pot-Kettle black.
Mod: Yesterday some thoughtless commenter expressed the belief that I posted the local pot story over the Congressman Steve Scalise shooting story because I was OK with what happened in Arlington, VA. I thought that was unfair, and I set it aside so that I could discuss the comment here with you today. This is what that unhappy soul wanted to share with you yesterday.

"The mod runs national stuff 80% of the time. This story didn't comport to the mod's Trump-bashing, so it didn't get any mention. At least the mod is reinforcing his own radical leftist agenda. It doesn't take any longer to copy from one web site versus another. " - Anonymous at 5:21 PM

I don't agree with this reader, and I want you to know that I am against people shooting other people. I am also opposed to people attempting to make political hay by accusing others of being sympathetic to those who do such shootings. Which is what the above individual was obviously attempting to do.

As we can see from the inset above, the words and sentiments of radical rightwing Tea Nuts are no better than their doppelgangers on the radical left. They're all part of the same ideological mental illness, and each feeds off of the other. A pox on both, I say.

  1. Did I miss something? Are these comments as bad as beheading? The rhetoric need to stop on both sides! Nothing gets done in Washington with this kind of vitriol.

  3. When Germany's Weimer Republic began to collapse in the early 1930s the streets were filled with Communist and Fascist gangs fighting for Stalin and Hitler. I hope we are not getting to that point.

    2. What a completely fatuous and inane remark to make! What evidence do you have that the Communists and Fascist gangs of the 20's and 30's were literate and could spell? And what does it have to do with anything? Please, refrain from watching the soap bubbles in your mind emerge from your finger tips on a keyboard and appear on a screen.

    3. They could spell really good. Its a proven fact. It was on the front page of the Star News just last week. I think its in the bible somewhere also, kinda near the middle.

    6. 7:06 - Also sleeping with a gun under your pillow gets your spouse/child/fiance dead. Just ask Oscar Pestorius (sp?) the South African Olympian who shot and killed his finance in the middle of the night.

  5. Trump Acknowledges He Is Under Investigation in Russia Inquiry

WASHINGTON President Trump acknowledged publicly for the first time Friday that he is under investigation in the expanding inquiry into Russian influence in the election and appeared to attack the integrity of the Justice Department official in charge of leading it. In an early-morning tweet, the president declared that he is being investigated for his decision to fire James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director. And he appeared to accuse Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, of leading a witch hunt.

"I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt
    Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 16, 2017 "

The tweet was the first explicit acknowledgment by the president that Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel for the Russia inquiry, had begun examining whether Mr. Trump's firing of Mr. Comey last month was an attempt to obstruct the investigation.

And Mr. Trump's apparent reference to Mr. Rosenstein, who oversees the Russia investigation because Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from it, came just hours after an oddly worded statement from Mr. Rosenstein complaining about leaks in the case.

  7. Anyone that makes a comment like those above have no right being in government and for sure not out making statements like those. Those people are exciting the population to go out and use their guns as if it's all right or needed. It's that kind leadership that is dividing this country. We need to learn there are civil ways to work out our differences, not resort to old barbaric ways that disrupt life in the worst way by killing. Advocating killing shows a simple mind incapable of understanding anything other than what they want. I see them as "My Way Or The Highway" mentality, I see them dividing our country and definitely not of a christian mind. I see them as RADICAL ISLAMIC TYPES of people who should never be in a position to destroy or way of life in the USA. Correct me if I'm wrong but most if not all of those people come from states that collect the most from the Federal Government and receive the most state aid. As and example isn't Illinois on the verge of bankruptcy.

    1. You should ask your dog for a clarification. Ron Rosenstein is a member of the Trump administration, and has nothing to do with the Clintons. Remember though, Trump is under investigation for treason, so it is possible that patriots within the administration might stand up for America. If so they would be true heroes.
