Mod: I am not sure how the lives of these people could get any worse.
Donald Daters, a dating app for Trump supporters, leaked its users’ data (TechCrunch link): A new dating app for Trump supporters that wants to “make America date again” has leaked its entire database of users — on the day of its launch.
The app, called “Donald Daters,” is aimed at “American-based singles community connecting lovers, friends, and Trump supporters alike” and has already received rave reviews and coverage in Fox News, Daily Mail and The Hill.
On its launch day alone, the app had a little over 1,600 users and counting.
We know because a security researcher found issues with the app that made it possible to download the entire user database.
Elliot Alderson, a French security researcher, shared the database with TechCrunch, which included users’ names, profile pictures, device type, their private messages — and access tokens, which can be used to take over accounts.
The data was accessible from a public and exposed Firebase data repository, which was hardcoded in the app. Shortly after TechCrunch contacted the app maker, the data was pulled offline.
We reached out to Emily Moreno, the app’s founder and a former aide to Sen. Marco Rubio; she did not comment.
According to the app’s website, “all your personal information is kept private.” Except, as it happens, when it’s not.
Trump’s 60 Minutes Ratings Absolutely Tank From Last Interview (MEDIAite link): President Donald Trump's ratings are hitting new lows… his raucous sit-down with Lesley Stahl for 60 Minutes, which aired Sunday night, notched 11.3 million total viewers and 1.8 in the 18-49 demo.
Per Deadline, that’s a “47% dive in the demo and 43% in total viewers” since Trump’s last 60 Minutes interview, which aired just after his 2016 election win.
Then-president elect Trump saw monster ratings for the interview, notching 20 million total viewers and 3.4 in the demo.
Trump’s latest 60 Minutes interview comes at the end of a weeklong media blitz, including several hits on Fox News and various other interviews. The interview, thanks to Stahl’s impressive questioning, was thrilling, and benefitted from an NFL ratings lead-in (unlike his last 60 Minutes interview).
Trump’s frenetic and at times contentious sit down with Stahl covered everything from his controversial border policy to his views on climate change, Saudi Arabia, the Russia investigation, the media, Kim Jong Un, Vladimir Putin, his mockery of Christine Blasey Ford, etc.
As Deadline notes, Trump’s interview is even down from 60 Minutes‘ “most recent broadcast benefiting from an NFL overrun,” on September 30, which notched 13.5 million total viewers and 2.2 in the demo.
Mod: Witches? Of course they are.
Appearing on AM Joy Sunday, Kremer was asked by guest host Ali Velshi about President Donald Trump‘s fear-mongering about Democrats ahead of the midterms. “I think the left, there are mobs going on out there right now,” Kremer replied, listing off recent incidents between protestors and Republican lawmakers, as well as the shooting of GOP Rep. Steve Scalise.
“It is a scary time right now,” she continued, before turning to new Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh: “Now, you’ve got witches that are placing a hex on Brett Kavanaugh.”
“It is concerning,” Kremer said. “This type of behavior is going on and it’s concerning to all Americans out there. As I said to you, in the last segment, I have been a victim of these attacks as well. It’s not anything any of us should have to live with.”
