Sierra Madre Is Playing A Featured Role In Encinitas Joe Mosca Appreciation Advertising

Of course, Joe Mosca came to Sierra Madre from Sherman Oaks in pretty much the same abrupt and politically devious manner, but that is probably not to the point of these missives of carpetbaggerly love. Apparently all hell has broken loose in Encinitas. One thing is for sure, when Joe is in town there is going to be a war.

There are also a series of videos making the rounds in Encinitas featuring two of my favorite Sierra Madre residents. You can access them by clicking on the link provided below the screen shot.

There are a few comments on the JoeMosca4Encinitas Facebook page (link), but none more interesting than this one. Some of the themes mentioned here should be familiar to longtime veterans of Sierra Madre's own Joe inspired political wars.

I am not sure you could include Joe's name amongst those aforementioned "duly elected" Encinitas City Council folks, but actual facts are never quite to the point in these sorts of things. And it is amusing to read about the "big money" issue. Certainly in Sierra Madre it wasn't the preservationists who were being sent the long dough. You have to wonder if the above Joe supporter is telling the truth.

One more election result to watch for next Tuesday. Let me tell you, I am feeling downright nostalgic. Those were the days, my friends.

  1. You mean like the days when a Dirt supporter blew up your mailbox, Mr. Mod?

    1. It wasn't my mailbox that was blown up. I did lose two to some deranged knucklehead, but those were beaten to death with a baseball bat.

    1. This sounds like that whole "road diet" nonsense that Pasadena recently abandoned in the face of resident anger. If so, Joey could be in trouble.

  7. Narrow the 101, you have to be kidding.
Residents of Encinitas will walk or ride their bikes now with out amassing a bottleneck on the Highway, just have a cyclevilla day like L.A., you know the day where shops and businesses close for lack of foot traffic while bike enthusiasts circle back and forth on the blockade streets.

  9. For whatever problems we have now, at least that con isn't on of them. His supporter's post shows exactly what he manipulates people to believe.

  12. Remember when the flyer of: concerned about the development in Sierra Madre was mailed to homeowners in 2007.
"Concerned about the rise in hostilities in our city?"
    "Say NO to divisiveness!"
"ALL six former Sierra Madre Mayors, all preservationists oppose SMRRS and 2-30-13, and Measure V- say Yes to preserving Sierra Madre"

  15. No 4:30 pm Joe was never pure, these people were his friends and he loved talking behind their backs, Joe is all about Joe.

  16. Of all people to get self-righteous — Lisa Shaffer! She betrayed all the good folks who supported her for election in 2012 and trusted her to do the right thing. On top of that continuing betrayal, she doesn't know what she's talking about regarding Leucadia 101 Streetscape.

Anybody who wants to preserve what's left of the real Encinitas should not vote for Hubbard or Mosca. They're traitors and liars just like Lisa Shaffer.
