Willy Barr Coverup: Progressive groups plan nationwide April 4 protests over Mueller report release

Mod: It is hard to remember a time when Attorney General Wm. Barr's fake four page report on the Mueller investigation wasn't widely regarded as an attempt to obstruct and thwart justice. Some folks don't want you to accept that as a permanent condition.

Progressive groups plan nationwide protests over Mueller report release (NBC News link): A coalition of the nation’s biggest progressive grassroots organizations is       activating a nationwide protest plan in response to Attorney General William Barr’s expected failure to meet an April 2 deadline set by House Democrats to release Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s full Russia report to Congress.

With hundreds of locations set across the country, Stand Up America, MoveOn.org, Indivisible and Public Citizen are among the groups orchestrating the April 4Nationwide Day of Action,” according to a release provided to NBC News.

The plan marks a shift in strategy for the coalition, which had for months been organizing a protest plan in anticipation that the Mueller report might not be released to the public at all. After initially summarizing Mueller’s work in a 4-page document sent to Congress on March 24, Barr has said he’ll release a more substantive version of the report by mid-April.

But the attorney general has indicated he will make several redactions, including classified information Congress has said it needs to see. Barr also would not commit to obtaining court approval to give to Congress grand jury-related materials, according to House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerrold Nadler.

Now, the coalition’s focus is forcing transparency around one of the most politically sensitive documents in modern American history.

Barr has not committed to releasing the full report and underlying evidence,” the coalition said in its statement. Further, the group said, Barr has given himself “the leeway to redact huge portions of the findings from Congress and the American people.”

It’s unclear how many people will actually turn out at the protests, but thousands have RSVP'd online to attend to TrumpIsNotAboveTheLaw.org, including more than 16,000 who signed up to protest outside the White House.

  1. Nadler Blasts Bill Barr in Scathing NY Times Opinion Letter

Nadler Blasts Bill Barr in Scathing NY Times Opinion Letter
Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York on Monday published an editorial in the New York Times telling Attorney General Bill Barr that he must release special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election by Tuesday or face legal action from Congress.

Nadler is the chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee.

In the scathing editorial, Nadler called out Barr for writing a very short summary of the Mueller report’s conclusions even though that was not required of him. Barr has come under attack from many different directions for publishing his conclusions with no backup, and with no indication that Mueller himself reached the same conclusions.

Nadler also blasted Barr for claiming that he will need several weeks to release a complete (but redacted) copy of the full special counsel’s report.

“We — the members of the Judiciary Committee, the House of Representatives and the entire American public — are still waiting to see that report,” Nadler wrote. “We will not wait much longer. We have an obligation to read the full report, and the Department of Justice has an obligation to provide it, in its entirety, without delay.”

The committee chair then criticized Barr for usurping congressional authority and unilaterally declaring President Donald Trump innocent of obstruction of justice before lawmakers even had the opportunity to see Mueller’s evidence.

“By offering us his version of events in lieu of the report, the attorney general, a recent political appointee, undermines the work and the integrity of his department,” he argued. “He also denies the public the transparency it deserves. We require the full report — the special counsel’s words, not the attorney general’s summary or a redacted version.”

Trump says no Republican health-care plan until after 2020 elections

President Donald Trump indicated Monday night that a new Republican health-care plan that he has boasted about in recent days won’t be voted on until after the 2020 elections.

In a series of tweets, Trump claimed the GOP plan — which does not yet exist — “will be far less expensive & much more usable than ObamaCare,” and that a vote would be held “right after the Election when Republicans hold the Senate & win back the House.”

  4. April 4th? Now the public will see how many useless refusing to work welfare recipients our hard working dollars are supporting; hope the rules on getting our tax paying dollars given out to those "protesters" just for doing nothing but having time off to make fools of themselves, will be up for a overhaul of changes in the very near future; refusal to work or volunteer, then no money.

Besides unlike the days of no time off that you’d like to return to, many people can take a personal or vacation day to protest your pr*sident’s political appointee’s obstruction.

  5. I truly wonder just how much money is being used to cover up the final release of the un censored Mueller report by a paid hack in the US attorney generals office? But look a simple example of what money can do to the worlds perception of serious climate change.

(Now) Democrates; all protest on April 4th, because it will take two weeks or more to release any report.
Democrats ( then) it doesn't matter how much money you need to spend Mr. Mueller on " your" investigations, whats a few million dollars plus?
Democrats (now) no money for the wall, it will cost too much!
Democrats (then) doesn't matter that the Mueller report found zilch on Russian Collusion, (now) Democrats refuse to believe all that hard work and long investigations turned up nothing!
Democrats are elists and refuse to make this country great.
Warning: the Progressive Liberals in the Democratic Party are the real threat to this country; in this revelation; yes, the Russians have won; "a country divided ,,,"

  10. The Mueller Report must be released so the Republicans can show how much of the taxpayers’ money was wasted over 2 years for the witch hunt.

Right GOP? Don’t you want to stick it to the Democrats by showing how the money was wasted? Of course you do. So release the report!
