Trump Previously Declared that Yesterday's Louisiana Governor Vote was an Impeachment Referendum

Mod: As we should all know, the Democratic candidate won last night. So do you think Donald will stick to his theory? This following Fox News article ran on Friday, the day before Louisiana's election.

Trump casts Louisiana vote as impeachment referendum (Fox News link): President Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail Thursday to stump in Louisiana for the second time in as many weeks, using a raucous rally to mock two U.S. diplomats who raised questions about his dealings with Ukraine at the center of an impeachment inquiry.

‘The people of this country aren't buying it – you see it because we're going up and they're going down,’ Trump said. ‘Let's keep it going for a while.’

Stung by Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin's loss last week to Democrat Andy Beshear, Trump is putting considerable emphasis on Louisiana. Republican businessman Eddie Rispone is challenging Democratic incumbent Gov. John Bel Edwards in a Nov. 16 runoff election.

‘You gotta give me a big win please,’ Trump told the crowd. ‘Please.’

Mod: Judging by the result, I'd say Louisiana's voters aren't quite as concerned about Donald's impeachment fate as he is.

Louisiana Democrat re-elected governor — despite Trump’s rallies for the Republican candidate (Raw Story link): The Associated Press has called the Lousiana’s governor’s race for incumbent Democrat John Bel Edwards.

Edwards triumphed over Republican businessman Eddie Rispone, who called to concede. The outcome is another major political loss for President Donald Trump, who had held multiple campaign rallies for Rispone.

During his most recent rally, Trump begged the crowd to give him a “big win” in the election.

  1. President Trump being reelected in 2020 does not hinge on GOP Governors being elected.
Having GOP leaders just make's more common sense; take California as an example of how badly the Democrats tend to run a state into the ground.
Look how Democrats are refusing to work in the House.

    1. Trump's reelection hinges on his ability to inspire voters. He has now failed to do that in Louisiana, Kentucky and Virginia.

    2. Why you crying about Democrats? When trump started republicans controlled the house, the senate, the White House, and the court... they still couldn’t repeal Obamacare or build a wall. Total self aggrandizing failures.

There are those who don't have an understanding of Trump's danger and there are those who don't have the ability to do anything about it. Then there are those who have both, but who cynically abet him anyway for their own political and financial gain. They are the lowest of all.

  12. Fox Business Host Calls Trump a “Big Dumb Baby” for Attack on Yovanovitch

Many expressed outrage when President Donald Trump took to Twitter to attack former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, while she testified in the impeachment investigation. And it wasn’t just his opponents. Even traditional allies said the president had gone too far. “Should the president be tweeting at her mid-hearing? No,” Fox Business Network host Lisa Kennedy said. “It makes him look like a big dumb baby.”

  15. After years of suffering with Barack Obama sitting in the White House, we made a calculated decision to vote for a Democrat again. This time it was a grate decision to vote for Donald J.Trump who had left the Democratic Party because that Party no longer stood for any of their founding principles; we will never go back to vote for another Democratic candidate after witnessing what this Party has to offer now vs what we are witnessing as real change happening in our country; keep America Great.

Jennifer Williams, a Special Adviser on Europe and Russia issues for Vice President Mike Pence’s foreign policy team, told congressional investigators that she viewed President Donald Trump’s July 25th phone call to Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky as “unusual and inappropriate.” Williams had listened in on the phone call while it was happening, and a whistleblower revealing the controversial contents of that call prompted the current impeachment inquiry into Trump.

  17. If you oppose Trump's privatization of public lands, CREDO has a petition to sign & share. Once OUR parks, forests, etc. are sold .....they will be developed for profit and never again belong to the public....free access that generations have enjoyed will be restricted. And there is no guarantee that the lands will be responsibly managed. SICKENING GREED. Since the Senate will block his Impeachment, what must we do to get a Trump Impeachment Measure
on the 2020 November ballot ? Is this possible in a short time frame ?

Sounds like a set up for one day soon, when, pressure overwhelming, Trump is "found" wandering around the Rose Garden in a bathrobe muttering to himself like NY mobster Vincent "The Chin" Gigante. Then he'll resign for "health" reasons that will be used to argue against criminal prosecution.
