Mod: Everything Trump is doing benefits Russia. And the GOP Congress does nothing.
Russia Gloats: ‘Trump Is Ours Again’ (
Daily Beast link): The
Kremlin is awash with
Christmas gifts from
Washington, D.C. and every move by the
Trump administration seems to add to that perception. On Wednesday, appearing on the
Russian state TV show “
The Evening with Vladimir Soloviev,” Director of the Moscow-based Center for Middle Eastern and Central Asian
Studies
Semyon Bagdasarov said that the
U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis is “struggling to keep up” with the flurry of unexpected decisions by the
U.S. President Donald Trump. The news that
Mattis decided to step down sent shock waves across the world, being interpreted as “a dangerous signal” by
America’s allies.
Meanwhile, the
Mattis departure is being cheered in
Russia.
Konstantin Kosachev, head of the
Foreign Affairs Committee in the
Upper House of the
Russian Parliament, has said that “the departure of
James Mattis is a positive signal for
Russia, since
Mattis was far more hawkish on
Russia and
China than
Donald Trump.”
Kosachev opined that
Trump apparently considered his own agenda in dealing with
Russia,
China and
America’s allies to be "more important than keeping
James Mattis at his post," concluding: "That’s an interesting signal, and a more positive one” for
Russia.
Jubilation was even more apparent on
Russia’s state television, which adheres closely to the
Kremlin’s point of view. The host of the
Russian state TV show “
60 Minutes,”
Olga Skabeeva asserted: “
Secretary of Defense Mattis didn’t want to leave Syria, so
Trump fired him. They are leaving
Syria.”
President Trump’s press secretary,
Sarah Sanders, remarked: “The idea that
Putin is happy about this [Trump's decision to withdraw US forces from Syria] is ridiculous. It puts them at a greater risk, so I think that's just silly.” To the contrary, the idea of an
American withdrawal from
Syria is being widely perceived in
Russia as “a total dream come true” if it truly takes place.
State TV host
Olga Skabeeva surmised that
Americans are “losers, since
Putin has defeated them in every way.” With a theatrical sigh, her co-host,
Evgeny Popov, added: “
Trump is ours again—what are you going to do?” Every member of the sizeable audience enthusiastically clapped. While these statements are decidedly sarcastic,
Russian opinion makers recount the
Kremlin’s victories with unmistakable glee.
Popov smirked: “It seems to
Americans that we won on every front: the
U.S. Secretary of Defense has been removed, we unquestionably secured a complete, unconditional victory in
Syria.”
Skabeeva chimed in: “They’re also planning to leave
Afghanistan.”
Popov pointed out: “On top of that,
Rusal sanctions have been lifted with
Trump’s hands.” Panelists of the show, including
Russian lawmakers, couldn’t hide their satisfied grins. The reference was to the announcement that
Trump’s Treasury Department intends to lift sanctions against the business empire of
Oleg V. Deripaska, one of Russia’s most influential oligarchs, sanctioned for
Russian interference in the
U.S. elections.
Texas Representative Lloyd Doggett told
The New York Times that the move to lift
Rusal sanctions amounted to
Trump “sliding another big gift under
Vladimir Putin’s Christmas tree.” The gesture is certainly being interpreted that way in
Russia.
Deripaska’s attorneys are reportedly mounting an aggressive campaign to pursue the removal of personal sanctions from the
Putin-linked oligarch as well.
Discussing the planned departure of the
U.S. from
Syria, state TV host
Olga Skabeeva pondered why
Trump suddenly decided to leave at this point in time: “
Americans say, it’s because he is beholden to
Putin. Is that logical? Yes, it is.”

The morons in Trumplandia should be seeing this on a giant billboard. How they feel when their hero sold them to Russia? Oh wait, Russia is OK now because it is WHITE and CHRISTIAN.
ReplyDeleteWith all that is going on, and the fact that there is still some group of morons called Trumps base, I seriously wonder if Trump suggested he was moving to Russia to be closer to one of his best friends, and asked his base to come with him, how many would. These people (his base) are not smitten with his policies, they are smitten with Trump. THey are so brainless that they still believe in him, so, screw them and Trump, and feed him a line that would make him leave the country and take his cult followers with him.
DeletePutin is having a great Christmas, Trump gave him America on a platter.
ReplyDeleteHe refuses to implement Russian sanctions. Defends Putin at every opportunity. Has secret meetings with Putin. Pulls out of Syria and Afghanistan on Putin's orders. Removes sanctions on Russia's biggest aluminium supplier. Believes Putin over all of his own intelligence agencies.
ReplyDeleteHow many more clues do you need America. Your president is an active Kremlin asset. Time to do something about it.
Trump sees dangerous cracks in Hill GOP support
ReplyDeletePresident Donald Trump faces a dangerous erosion of support among rank-and-file Republicans thanks to a series of jarring recent moves that have alienated even some close GOP allies.
From his defense of Saudi Arabia’s crown prince over the murder of a dissident journalist to his abrupt decision to pull American troops out of Syria to his demand for a government shutdown, Trump has been angering friendly lawmakers, leading some who typically kept their disagreements to themselves to speak up.
The trend could prove perilous for the president after Democrats assume control of the House in January. Should the House vote to impeach Trump, he will have to rely on an increasingly exasperated Senate GOP conference to prevent him from being thrown out of office.

I'll believe it when i see it. Half of the GOP Senate is owned by Putin.
DeleteOnly 20 GOP Senators are needed to convict after impeachment.
DeleteAre those l'il trump shaped tanks, or putin's cock holsters?
ReplyDeleteTrump outright ignored Pentagon, State Department Syria policy in a big win for Putin

Trump is an A hole. But that said American foreign policy has been a corrupted trainwreck for decades.
DeleteHouse Republicans Called Emergency Meeting On Cheese As Shutdown Approached
ReplyDeleteAs the federal government was heading for a shutdown Friday night, House Republicans called an emergency meeting.
Plot twist: it was about cheese.
During her broadcast that evening, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow appeared astonished while reporting on the gathering, which was arranged so that lawmakers could discuss the Curd Act, a proposal to allow some cheeses to be advertised as “natural” despite having artificial ingredients
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) was clearly irked, feeling the timing was pretty inconvenient.
“This is an emergency meeting that we’re having here and I’ve seen some surreal things around this place, but this is really something,” McGovern said. “Vital parts of our government are about to shut down in just a few hours, and the Republicans have called an emergency meeting on cheese.”

republicans are like cheese curds.... advertising themselves as American while filled with artificial agents
DeleteIt has finally been proven beyond a shadow of doubt that 'djt' and communist cell members were a secret 'communist sleeper cell' operating for decades inside the USA to bring it down. Now a international arrest warrant should be issued for ALL 'djt' financial supporters and family members

ReplyDeleteThe Minute He Sets Foot in Mar-A-Lago the DNC should put out an ad, blasting the out of touch "billionaire" vacationing while government employees are working for free during Christmas season. Tie this around his neck, get some working people to explain how they had to go without while he was living it up fat on our dime.
ReplyDeleteIf they Repubs had the chance to do the same to Obama, they wpuld have done it in a heartbeat. Use the optics to make this worse for him.
With another person of interest called Gary Clifford & Athens Trash services have done a lot of city hall trashing of their own, the old pay as you go plan. https://www.sgvtribune.com/2018/12/22/montebello-wants-new-trash-contract-but-its-hauler-is-fighting-to-keep-it/
ReplyDeleteThey got family on the City Council.
DeleteEach day this mentally unstable man takes a step closer to destroying 242 yrs. of self rule. And though Democrats want to be restrained, impeachment is inevitable. Then GOP Senators will have to make a choice. Either protect Democracy or continue to enable an ignorant criminal.
ReplyDeleteWe don't need a wall, we need a president.
DeleteThe Mueller surprise package. The indictments of Stone, Corsi, Kushner, Trump JR, Sessions, Wiki Leaks, Cambridge Analytica and others all at once, including naming Trump as an Un-indicted co-conspirator. The charge, conspiring with a foreign adversary against the United States of America. Plainly speaking, charging them with being traitors. I don't know if this is going to happen but it would make sense.
ReplyDeleteWhen Mueller indicted the Russians he did it in large groups. It makes sense he would do the same with all these traitors.
I find it hard to believe Mueller would have given Flynn and others such great deals and not have gotten something big in return. They committed serious crimes that could have put them in prison for years. They must have given Mueller what he was looking for, Trump and conspiracy with Russia.
Trump lost his biggest protection from impeachment, the House. Most of the Trump cult followers in congress are in the House, not the Senate. Next month they become nothing more than back ground noise. The Democrats will impeach.
ReplyDeleteTrump needs the Republicans in the Senate to protect him. This past week Trump pissed and shit all over them. He back stabbed them on the spending bill. Some members already went home, they had to get on a plan and fly back to DC. You can't tell me they are not pissed.
When Mattis resigned because of Trump, the Republicans woke up for the first time in two years and realized we are in great danger. It was a fucking miracle.
Trump pulling out of Syria and maybe Afghanistan has turned many Republicans against Trump.
I don't know if there are 20 Republicans in the Senate who would vote for conviction. But we are getting closer.
Things are only going to get worse, a lot worse. It may get to the point where the Republicans in the Senate have no choice but to convict.
A lot of republicans will lose money if trumps withdraws from Syria
DeleteKeep the humor coming, the left is cracking up! The left is supporting staying in a war that no one supported when President Obama got the U.S. into conflict, it is all about the oil fields in Northern Kurdistan now.
ReplyDeleteThe left fights to keep border security non existent.
The left fights to keep criminals free to kill and commit more crimes under the guise of Sanctuary Cities.
The left fights to give health insurance to all illegals living in the U.S.
The left argues that the partial government shut down is a GOP owned holdout for a small amount of money needed to continue building THE WALL, when it is the left showing how juvinal and ineffective their party has become; send out the old bobble headed white people Nancy and Chuck to represent the party!
Real Americans are getting to see Washington's thick swamp hard at work.
Tea Nut talking points. As idiotic as ever.
DeleteOther than republican chieckehawls no one supports the war. But there are consequences to clumsily cutting and running. Read the book ‘Blowback’ and you’ll understand. In fact, please, I implore you, read any book.
DeleteRussian troll talking points. As idiotic as ever.
Delete8:01,, your right. Trump is an A hole. But that said American foreign policy has been a corrupted trainwreck for decades? NOT SO ,,, it has been a finely tuned effort for peace, not what is going on right now. It's almost as if this was a military orchestrated effort by enemies of the United States, the problem is now from within also. This move has not been handled that well and is now going into "out of control" status. Our laws better kick in soon to save our nation and our well being.
ReplyDelete“Finely tuned effort for peace...”
DeleteHahahahahahahahahahshshshashs
lol- never found those weapons of mass destruction in Iraq or Afghanistan at a cost of $6 TRILLION!!!
DeleteThink of how much taller your stupid wall could have been if you hadn’t blown that money.
Trolls keep trumping themselves
Lol, 9:35am the Dems are in charge of making legislation or "laws" in the House soon under "control" of the left. so hope you are right, "our laws" better kick in soon! The GOP got caught bitting themselves in the butt, lets watch what the Dems get done with "our laws"!
ReplyDeleteTea Nuts will need to undergo re-education after the fat orange is jailed. Maybe they could be taught to sell insurance.

ReplyDeleteBetter than Clinton? What are you talking about? America was great when he was Prez
DeleteAnd as for this Putin trollop, Olga Skabeeva, I must say, fraulein, you're acting with the same arrogance as Nazi Germany, who you Russians brag so much about defeating in your "Great Patriotic War". You say Americans are losers, that you've beaten us? My dear little skank, you haven't beaten me, and you will eat your words, toots! Mein liebschen, think of me as Finland, yes, Finland ,that little country your "Uncle Joe' tried twice to overrun , but twice failed , because the Finns were too tough for you. The only reason you won against Germany is because of that Austrian doofus in charge. The Germans were too tough , as well. And so am I ! You can keep playing"Axis Sally " for Loverboy Vlad, but, listen to me, babe, all despots fall. Hitler , Stalin, they all fall! Putin and his pet jock strap, Trump, will as well! It's gping to be a pleasure watching you Piutinites kick yourselves for dealing with Trump. "One love feeds the fire. One heart burns desire. Wonder who's crying now."
