'He's losing his s---': Trump's advisers are increasingly worried about his mental state

Mod: Is the Orange Man losing his mind? He does seem troubled.

'He's losing his s---': Trump's advisers are increasingly worried about his mental state (Business Insider link): President Donald Trump's aides and confidants are concerned about his mental state after days of erratic behavior and wild outbursts. "His mood changes from one minute to the next based on some headline or tweet, and the next thing you know his entire schedule gets tossed out the window because he's losing his s---," one former White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal conversations about the president, told Insider.

Trump has spent the past several days fixated on his false claim that Alabama was going to be hit by Hurricane Dorian. He has also taken time to lob attacks at his perceived enemies, like the actress Debra Messing, former FBI Director James Comey, and the "LameStream media."

"He's deteriorating in plain sight," one Republican strategist who is in frequent contact with the White House told Insider on Friday.

But one person who was close to Trump's legal team during the Russia investigation told Insider his public statements were "nothing compared to what he's like behind closed doors."

"He's like a bull seeing red," this person added. "There's just no getting through to him, and you can kiss your plans for the day goodbye because you're basically stuck looking after a 4-year-old now."

Mod: Obviously bone spurs are the reason why Trump can't run in these primaries.

South Carolina, Nevada, Arizona and Kansas Plan to Finalize Cancellation of Republican Primaries and Caucuses to Shut Out Trump’s Primary Challengers (Second Nexus link): Historically, an incumbent president running for re-election is all but guaranteed their party’s nomination. But like some other more controversial presidents, Donald Trump is facing a primary challenge — in fact two: former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld and former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh—for the GOP nomination in 2020. Or is he?

Partisan primaries—which are balloted votes similar to general elections—or caucuses—which are meetings where party members discuss and vote by show of hands or verbally—are largely controlled by each individual state’s political party leadership.

If state party bylaws allow, a party may choose to forego the primary or caucus process in favor of simply backing the incumbent. Now four state Republican parties have opted to disregard President Trump’s challengers and instead skip straight to declaring him their nominee: South Carolina, Nevada, Arizona, and Kansas.

  1. All my life I could never figure out how two-but dictators come to power or get away with their transgressions. Americans fall for a lot of dumb stuff but I’ve never seen people still follow so blindly after so many lies.

    2. He never had any 'shit' to lose. I reject this "increasingly unhinged" narrative some keep pushing. He's been unhinged for a long time. He called for the execution of innocent Black men, he pushed the Obama birther nonsense, and he's been a sexual predator and a grifter most of his miserable life. He's escalating because he's had no negative consequences for anything he's done. Even as he loses support, he keeps acting like he has a mandate, and he does because the GOP backs him.

    3. The psycho completely forgot about a storm that was pounding part of the country, to "prove" his lie about a part of the country that the storm did not touch was true.

    1. I dont believe they are worried for a second. I’m sick of hearing the same bs. “People close to trump feel he has gone too far.”

This is as hard to believe as the democrats are starting impeachment proceedings. It’s all hot air. Trump isn’t going anywhere and he will continue to fuck up everything he touches.

  5. You can learn a lot about a person from their favorite insults they apply to others...especially one who engages in as much projection as Trump does.

He knows that everybody thinks he's "nasty" and "disgusting" and "fake." He calls others that because it makes him feel better about how nasty, disgusting, and fake he is.

  6. 'Asked why the president was obsessed with Alabama instead of the states that would actually be affected by the storm, the strategist said, "you should ask a psychiatrist about that; I'm not sure I'm qualified to comment."'

Trump needs a complete psychological evaluation.

If not a domestic terrorist threat, it's an example of a possibly unhinged person who should be relieved of her guns until she can publicly demonstrate she's not a threat.

But that will not happen because her threat merely demonstrates the baseline, fundamental nature of GOP troglodytes.
