Steven Mnuchin’s Mysterious Link to Creepy Epstein Model Scout Jean-Luc Brunel

Mod: Let's face it, Steve Munchkin is creepy enough already. Anyone who wants to steal Social Security and Medicare from America's seniors is entirely guilty of elder abuse. But he also has an Epstein connection? Who in the Trump administration doesn't?

Steven Mnuchin’s Mysterious Link to Creepy Epstein Model Scout (The Daily Beast link): In the late 1980s—before he was a member of Donald Trump’s Cabinet, or even a high rolling hedge fund manager—Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin served in an official capacity for a business run by one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most infamous associates.

In official records, Mnuchin is listed as the official state point of contact for Next Management Corporation, a company formed in 1988 by modeling-industry insiders Jean-Luc Brunel and Arnaud Brunel. At the time, Jean-Luc Brunel had just been the subject of a 60 Minutes documentary accusing him of drugging and raping at least three models. Later, he would be accused by two women of supplying girls to Epstein to be sexually abused. (Brunel has denied the allegations.)

Records accessed by The Daily Beast list Mnuchin as the New York Department of State process for Next Management Corporation. According to department officials, the DOS process is the person who files a company’s registration papers and receives lawsuits and other official documents on their behalf—usually a lawyer or some other legal representative.

A Treasury Department official said Mnuchin did not know he was listed as the DOS process for Next Management Corp. before The Daily Beast’s inquiry. He said it was “not clear” how Mnuchin wound up serving in that role and added that the secretary did not recall ever meeting either Brunel brother and has never done business with either of them.

Mnuchin’s office did confirm that he was longtime friends with Faith Kates, the owner of Next modeling agency. The Brunel brothers co-founded the Next agency with Kates in 1989, and their company, Next Management Corp., owned a 25 percent stake in the agency for several years. The address listed under Mnuchin’s name in State Department records is the first address for Kates’ company, Next Management Company.

  6. Back to local corruption and how to minimize it:

“It takes a long time to build good government, and sadly, a clever, corrupt official can do great damage in short time,” he says. “Until those people retire and are gone, corruption will still have its presence, its taint.”

  9. 8 Years of Trump Tax Returns Are Subpoenaed by Manhattan D.A.

State prosecutors in Manhattan have subpoenaed President Trump’s accounting firm to demand eight years of his personal and corporate tax returns, according to several people with knowledge of the matter.

The subpoena opens a new front in a wide-ranging effort to obtain copies of the president’s tax returns, which Mr. Trump initially said he would make public during the 2016 campaign but has since refused to disclose.

The subpoena was issued by the Manhattan district attorney’s office late last month, soon after it opened a criminal investigation into the role that the president and his family business played in hush-money payments made in the run-up to the election.

Both Mr. Trump and his company reimbursed Michael D. Cohen, the president’s former lawyer and fixer, for money Mr. Cohen paid to buy the silence of Stormy Daniels, a pornographic film actress who said she had an affair with Mr. Trump. The president has denied the affair.

  13. Having sex with stormy isn’t a crime. Paying her to shut up about it isnt a crime either. You seem to be confusing hush payments with sex payments. Stormy isnt staying she acted as a prostitute. Why are you saying tnat? And you would take the word of a whore about anything? Why don’t you mind your own business?

  16. ‘RIP GOP’: Polling expert predicts devastating Trump 2020 electoral wipeout

Pollster and strategist Stanley Greenberg went on CNN Monday to explain why he believes President Donald Trump and the Republican Party are headed toward a historic and humiliating defeat in the 2020 elections.

In an interview with CNN’s John Berman, Greenberg discussed his new book called “RIP GOP” in which he makes a case that Trump’s presidency has shifted public opinion in Democrats’ favor while repelling moderate voters from the Republican Party.

“I think what happened going into 2016 is Donald Trump took over the Tea Party base of the party, allied it with evangelicals and took the party to a very extreme end,” he said. “I believe… Donald Trump’s election will speed the defeat of the Republican Party because of its dominance by the Tea Party and evangelicals, which won’t consider compromise, which won’t consider a multicultural America in a part of our future. And I also thought it would speed up the resistance and also people’s consciousness of what they believe and their values, and all of that has happened.”

To this end, Greenberg is predicting a blowout win for Democrats in 2020, as he’s projecting the Democratic nominee will win a whopping 385 electoral votes, whereas Trump will win just 153.
